OpenFlexure — Medically certified

Coming soon

The same instrument. Certified for clinical use.

Prisma Science is bringing the OpenFlexure Microscope through ANVISA registration and ISO 13485 quality management certification — making it the first open-source microscope available as a certified medical device in Brazil.

Who it is for?

Hospitals, clinical diagnostics laboratories, pathology services, and any institution that requires certified medical equipment for patient-facing use.

Why it matters?

Open hardware has long been used in research settings, but regulatory barriers have kept it out of clinical environments. Our certification program changes that — giving clinical labs access to a precision instrument that is transparent, repairable, and not locked to a proprietary service contract.

We ❤️ Open Source
