Our Mission
Science has an access problem. The equipment needed to do cutting-edge research can cost tens of thousands of dollars — putting it out of reach for universities, research institutes, and clinics across Latin America and beyond. Prisma Science exists to change that. We take the best open-source hardware designs from the global scientific community, build and certify them to professional standards, and make them available to the labs that need them most. We also work close to developers, making sure their work is rewarded when we sell their designs.

Open Flexure
A precision motorized microscope built on 3D-printed flexure mechanics and a Raspberry Pi — capable of sub-micron positioning, brightfield and fluorescence imaging, and fully automated scanning. Available as a complete unit or research kit today, with a medically certified version on the way.
Buridan Arena
Buridan Arena for Drosophila behavioural assays. Six RGB LED panels (73728 individual LEDs) for precise visual stimulation, capable of 256 brightness levels each. Behaviour is recorded through at top mounted 12 MegaPixels camera.
